Ko Subaru te ingoa o ngā whetu tokoono i Nihon. Erangi kia ia ko Matariki kē.
He Subaru te kupu tāwhito i Hapanihi.
He 'here' te tikanga o tērā kupu mahi i roto i te reo Māori.
Nā tētahi o ngā kaipoema tēnei kōrero i tuhi i roto i te pukapuka poema tāwhito ake, 'Manyō-shū(万葉集)'.
'He ātaahua ake ngā whetu o Subaru i ngā whetu katoa.'
Nā a tātou tūpuna ngā whetu rite i titiro.
He tino ātaahua, he tino whakaingoingo a Matariki me a Subaru.
The six stars are called Subaru in Japan. However, they are Matariki too.
A poet wrote this in the Japanese oldest poem book, Manyō-shū.
'Subaru is the most beautiful stars'.
Our ancesters looked the same stars. Matariki and Subaru are beautiful and romantic.
